Here's our Pet of the Week!

My name is Nikki and I am a 65 pound Bluetick Coonhound! I arrived to FOA after my owners decided they no longer wanted me, but I am in a better place as they didn’t treat me with much love and left me out in a kennel outside 24/7. I am about 3-4 years old and I just want a family that is very active just like I am! I would love to go on adventures and travel with you as I am very curious and adventurous. I might even be a great hunting dog if I was given the time and training because we all know hounds and how it is very important for us to have a job and be kept busy! A big fenced in area is almost a must for me as I love to explore and I do have a lot of energy to burn. I keep my kennel nice and neat (meaning I don’t make any mistakes) so I may be house-trained which is a huge plus! I just long for a family that will spend time with me and also give me things to do. I am not sure how I feel about other dogs so a meet and greet is required with your dog(s) before adoption. I do know how to sit, but my attention span is pretty short and I don’t seem all that interested in toys which in a home setting that may be different. I am very treat motivated which is a huge plus especially during training. I LOVE walks as you could probably guess and I would be a great running or hiking partner. I do love attention from everyone and enjoy just being in your company. I am already spayed, started on my shots, de-wormed, heartworm tested and I have received preventative for fleas & ticks and heartworm!

Her adoption fee is $375  + tax and includes micro-chipping!

All adoption's are subject to approval....

All animals are current on their vaccination based on their age and time at the shelter. Some animals may require boosters. Please note: MN state law requires rabies vaccinations be given by a licensed veterinary. Because FOA does not have a full time vet on staff, some animals may not have had their rabies shots.
